To me back control is mainly about the hand grips. The hooks do well to keep them in, but the hand controls seem to be forgotten a lot of times. What I like to do working for the RNC is work an over/under grip. Whichever hand is on the over side is the one you want on the bottom of your grip...you want the under grip side on top. Reason for that grip is a lot of times people will reach up and try to pull your hands down. If they reach up and pull down they are going to pull down your under grip hand and the over grip hand can slide right in for the choke.

As long as you keep a super tight over/under it's going to be really hard for him to move even if you take both hooks out.
