Adding to the posts above, there are tons of MMA gyms around that teach standing and ground techniques. Whats really great about the evolution of this sport is that a true MMA gym also focuses on the "whys" of the techniques, then offers you the chance to put the techniques into practice during sparring sessions. This allows you to become a truly well rounded fighter. It seems that in the past, it seemed practitioners started with a base like BJJ and added to it. Now it seems that people are learning everything at the same time.
