most bjj tournaments are won by marcus soares' team

just look at the club

dens kang
adam ryan now owns dynamic mma and MMA fighter
Adam Zugec now runs zuma
Stephan kesting - you have seen his videos
benito segura - won gold medal in major bjj in all contenents
multiple pan am champs winners

all taught by a 7th degree black belt in BJJ and one of maybe 20 in the world that holds a red and black belt

they club may be small but the talent wins and wins most team tournaments

east van mma benito is opening up a bjj club in east van next month check it out and than tell me what you think of GB

We weren't talking about the best BJJ school in the lower mainland. We were talking about the fact that some think Gracie Barra is a "Mcdojo". Gracie Barra holds the record for wins at the Mundials. (the most important bjj tournament in the world):

Gracie Barra 164
Alliance 89
Gracie Humaita 76
Nova Uniao 58
Brasa 35
Carlson Gracie Team 27
Brazilian Top Team 21

Do your homework.

Marcus Soares is without a debt probably the best instructor around. Well in Canada for that matter. I'm not disputing his credibility. But to try to down play Gracie Barra is just stupid and ignorant.

Mitsuyo Maeda - Carlos Gracie - Carlos Gracie Jr. - Marcio Feitosa - Tim Shears - Me.
