I don't know if you have tried those VFF's, but they are pretty much the same as barefoot.
Anyways, running barefoot is actually better for your knees and ankles. You will run with less impact while also strengthening muscles that you don't use as much with regular shoes on. There is alot of research about barefoot running and how it makes your body stronger. Just a thought, still interested to hear if anyone else is training, and running barefoot?
