Wilson Reis vs. Patricio Pitbull - Round 1 - Nothing meaningful early in the round. Pitbull avoids going to the ground and Reis lands a leg kick. Left hand counter by Reis lands. Pitbull misses with a punch and Reis takes him down. Reis trying to pass guard and Pitbull trying to keep it with a half butterfly. Reis finally passes to half guard. Pitbull scrambles and reverses to end up on top. Punch lands for Pitbull. Reis escapes and looks for the single to get it back down. The round ends and it was very close with neither man doing much by way of damage or important control. One of the very few times you'll see me score a round 10-10 (although I'm sure Reis got the nod on the judges cards for the early takedown and a little more time on top).
Round 2 - High kick from Pitbull is blocked. They clinch up and as they separate Pitbull lands a flying knee and Reis caches his leg to try for a single leg. As Reis holds the leg Pitbull uses a couple jumping knees to the head and Reis lets go of the single. Hard body kick from Pitbull. Pitbull lands a pair of hard punches and avoids the takedown attempt again. Body kick from Pitbull lands again and a leg kick from Reis. Flying knee from Pitbull lands. Another knee lands for Pitbull. Reis bleeding next to his left eye. Reis shoots and eats a knee. The round ends and it was a clear 10-9 Pitbull round.
Round 3 - Left hook from Pitbull and as Reis locks up with him Pitbull uses it for a takedown of his own. Reis trying to sweep and Pitbull stands up. Right hook from Pitbull and a body kick, now another right hand. Leg kick from Reis. Reis shoots and a beautiful sprawl from Pitbull. Reis is chasing and missing strikes now. Pitbull countering with right hands. Flying knee just misses. Body kick from Pitbull is caught by Reis and get gets the takedown. Pitbull uses half guard to create space and stand back up. Pitbull on top now landing a few punches. They stand up with 10 seconds and the round ends. I scored it for Pitbull giving him a 30-28 win.
