But then there's friction burns, a lack of give with the material(If a fighters head bounced off it, it'd mean serious injury) and for the material to be strong enough not to riask breaking, it'd have to be dead thick - Leading to light refraction and poor visibility. I don't think the cameras would fare well looking through it either.
