Notice how he had a shot of brandy in his hand. The producers set everything up, and I don't blame Kendall Grove for talking so poorly about this show, its more about ratings and UFC publicity then it is about prospect development and recruiting.
The show was almost never about prospect development. Maybe for the first season or two, but not now. The UFC is mainstream enough now, that they have no need at all anymore to go fishing in parking lot MMA arenas for talent. Anyone who is decent is already on their radar.
The first couple seasons really made the UFC mainstream, and they actually got some decent fighters out of it, but it's not only a joke now, but a completely unnecessary joke.
