Being an MMA fighter, you need to be doing sprint intervals.
As a fighter, it is not like jogging 10 miles with low intensity. It is short intervals of high intensity with short recovery.
Before my first boxing match I ran 1 minute sprints followed by 1 minute of jogging and repeated that for 20 minutes. That is a killer and will get you into shape.
This is the kind of stuff you ought to be doing.
