1. If you delete a thread the rep gets deleted, I got some positive rep for a Couture troll thread and now that the thread's been deleted my positive rep is gone.
2. Banned posters rep still sticks around, half of my neg's are from posters who aren't around anymore. One was from someone who didn't even post and was just a sockpuppet(I think I know what poster it was to).
I agree with both points. I don't know if you remember Stokes (oh man lol) but I have a bunch of negs from him in his "bad" stage and now hes gone but the rep isn't.
I also don't like that once you get a very minimal amount of positive rep your green bars are full..... I've got full green bars, and so do other people that have 5 times as many posts. I've also seen people with 100 posts have full green bars...
It definitely takes away from rep. You're either red or green... the amount appears to be moot. Kinda lame.
Full green doesn't mean full rep. Put your mouse over the rep to see what the rank is. You can find a list of the ranks in a sticky thread at the top of this section.
As for the reps going away when a thread is removed or not going away when someone is banned, I'm not sure how that would be fixed. It would be nice to see the rep system get a major overhaul, like more bars or add stars or something like that, but it's been brought up in the staff section multiple times and it comes down to it being very complicated and difficult to get done.

That is just kinda the way the board is set up. We seldom delete threads though unless they are spam or straight up trolling. We try to lock instead which is something I can remind the staff about.

Honestly though the reps form "puppet" accounts or neg reps from them are completely meaningless. If you started an account today and have the rep you started with it would take like a million of your reps to equal on of mine. They are likely doing single or double digit damage to your rep points. Its really minor.

Ya looks like I just got hit by someone with a lot of rep. I am trying to buy the lifetime membership for a couple days now but it keeps saying error when I click the link. Can a moderator help me out with this.
Alright I just checked your rep because I rarely neg anyone. I have only pos repped you once so that is an outright lie. I actually even pos repped you a second time out of guilt thinking I may actually have negged you. I am almost tempted to neg you just for making shit up.
I apologize about that. I mixed you and RIVAL up on who neg repped me. I really didnt mean to make anything up. I am just trying to figure out how I could have gotten so much neg rep. I am still getting used to the repping so I do apologize. Just to make it clear Toxic did not neg rep me it was RIVAL. Sorry again.
I checked the thread he neg repped me for and it was for saying UFC HW fighters could beat Strikeforce HW fighters. I didn't think it was bad enough to kill my rep though. lol. Oh well I will try and build it back up. Thanks everyone.
more or less I just kept seeing posts that were... neg rep worthy. So I eventually negged you.
