Beating Frank and going 1-1 against Scott Smith doesn't make him "superfight" material.
Maybe if he had thrown himself more into MMA he could have gotten to that point, but we'll never know without the aid of a time machine.
P.S. I'm not saying I blame him for spending so much time acting. He was already in his mid-thirties when he started MMA, so I'm sure his acting career will not only pay him more, but he'll be able to do it over a longer window. Gotta make sure you take care of the family.
