I had breakfast with my grandfather this morning in a cafe. After we ate he talked me into playing some chess. I was worried because I'm out of practice and have forgotten half the strategies. He is the one who taught me to play, and I've never beaten him. Now he's let me win when I was young a time or two but we both knew it. I destroyed him badly, laughed it off about getting lucky. I let him win the next two games, he's just not there like he was. Sometimes I hope I'm around to see youth leave my body.
