I know in a MMA fight, ala Aldo VS Faber, leg kicks are devastating over time, but in terms of getting into an actual street brawl and attempting to defend yourself, are leg kicks a good weapon to add to your arsenal? Being that a street fight wouldn't go anywhere as long as a 5x5 round MMA fight.
Street fights dot have 5x5 rounds nor is there a ref with rule regulation. A low kick to to the nuts of a man with be very powerful.

On another note, to kick somebody who has never been leg kicked can be quite a stun..
