Yeah MMA isn't a sport that leads itself well to alcohol, one boring fight and you could pass out. For me it's all about small meals at different points, start off with some hotwings or ribs maybe a burger 2 hours later some popcorn finish it up with icecream for the main event.
Sugar/Carbs/Meats keeps you on edge and then when you finish eating you have your sugar crash and fall asleep.
I usually start eating my stuff at the beginning of the main card and by the time of the main event i'm all out.
