Here's what went down:

Round 1 - No touch of the gloves. Ortiz misses wide with a high kick. The fighters reset. Ortiz is the aggressor early, but nothing is getting through. Ortiz lands a right, but Evans seems unfazed. Evans paws his jab. Ortiz charges forward, but Evans circles away. Evans lands an overhand right and then clinch. Ortiz lands some short punches on the break. The fighters circle some more. Ortix shoots, grabs, the legs, and gets a takdown. Evans immediately tries to work his way back up and is to his knees. Evans clings to his ankles and tries to halt it. He grabs a single leg as Evans delivers a few punches from above. Evans his back against the cage and looks to get up. Evans then locks in a guillotine but doesn't have the angle and gives it up. Evans gets back up, and they break. The trade punches, and Evans gets the better of it. Ortiz is trapped against the cage and eating punches. Many are heavy. Ortiz clinches and stalls the assault. Evans lands a nice overhand elbow. They reset, but Evans unloads more punches and then picks up and drops Ortizx and rains down punches, hammerfists and elbows. He then goes to half guard and then side control. Ortiz tries to cover, but Evans has the dominant position. Ortiz tries to roll free, but Evans continues battering until the horn sounds. Evans dominated the second half of the round and goes up 10-9.

Round 2 -There's little action early until Ortiz lands a quick jab. The pace slows again. Evans crouches and looks for an opening. Ortiz rushes forward with punches, but Evans backpeddles away. Evans move forward with punches, but Ortiz slaps on a guillotine choke and falls to his back. He torques with all his might, but Evans pops his head free after what was near-disaster. Evans works from half guard and pins an arm with his knee. Ortiz quickly gets his arm back, but he gives up side control. Evans delivers punches from the side, and they're in quick succession. Ortiz tries to cover up. Evans resets from side control and secures the crucifix position. Ortiz frees his arm, and Evans tries to reclaim it. Ortiz tries to buck free. He rolls and grabs a leg, but Evans quickly reclaims side control again. Ortiz rolls, and Evans pops him with punches while he's kneeled. Evans delivers a knee to the chest, and Ortiz crumples over. A few more punches seal the deal, and Evans claims the TKO win. Rashad Evans def. Tito Ortiz via TKO (strikes) - Round 2, 4:48
