Here's how it went down:

Round 1 - Kyle paws the jab, and they trade quick punches. Rogerio de Lima lands a nice combo. Kyle continues winging punches, but Rogerio de Lima remains in the pocket. Kyle moves but is tagged with a counter punch. Kyle goes low with a kick and then another. Rogerio de Lima works low kicks. The fighters trade single punches and kicks. Kyle works quick punches to the head. Kyle lands a right, and Rogerio de Lima stumbles to the cage but appears he may be faking. Kyle wisely keeps his distance. Kyle lands more straight rights, and Rogerio de Lima may be seriously dazed this time. He's still in a fighter's stance, but Kyle is landing more frequently. The fighters trade straight shots, and Rogerio de Lima again looks dazed. Kyle continues chipping away with punches. scores it 10-9 for Kyle.

Round 2 - The fighters trade heavy blows early. Rogerio de Lima counters with a nice left and then throws a swarm. The fighters trade straight punches, and Rogerio de Lima lands a solid low kick. Both fighters look content to keep this standing, and they continue trading one-off punches and low kicks. Rogerio de Lima lands a nice low-kick/punch combo, but Kyle quickly recovers. Kyle looks for lunging body shots but takes a low kick. Rogerio de Lima slowly becoming the aggressor. Kyle returns fire and mixed up his punches from different angles. Kyle fakes a shot, but Rogerio de Lima easily stuffs it. But Kyle puts him against the cage and rather easily takes it to the mat. Rogerio de Lima gets back to his feet, but Kyle takes his back before Rogerio de Lima spins and is slammed to the mat. Kyle rains down some punches, stands, throws a leg kick and then waits out the round there. scores it 10-9 for Kyle.

Round 3 - They trade straight punches. Kyle works the jab. Rogerio de Lima snaps off a nice low kick and then another. Kyle returns to straight lefts and ducks under a counter. Rogerio de Lima returns to a low kick. They trade more straight punches, but neither is taking the lead in this round. Rogerio de Lima works an inside leg kick. He throws another and follows with a left. They trade jabs. Kyle ducks under a punch and gets the takedown and works from half guard. Kyle postures up for some elbows, but Rogerio de Lima ties him up pretty well. Kyle works short punches to the body. The pace slows quite a bit as Kyle tries to improve his position. He tries a shoulder strike, but Rogerio de Lima keeps him tied up. Kyle gets some leverage and causes a cut before the round ends. scores it 10-9 for Kyle for a 30-27 victory. Mike Kyle def. Marcos Rogerio de Lima via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
