Round 1: Some savage kicks early on from both fighters, but nothing really landing. Foster catches a kick and goes for the takedown, but Mann fends him off very quickly. Foster does the same thing again, with success. Mann gets a triangle set-up and Foster shakes free. Up against the cage now, with Foster looking to punch free of Mann's control and triangle set-up again. Mann looking to sweep or to break Foster's posture wide open, but Foster passes to half guard. Mann is tight, so no damage is done. The fighters pause for a moment and the referee steps in quick to stand them up. Brief camera mishap causes us to miss what looks like a connecting kick from Mann. The pace seems to have slowed a bit, and no I am fooled. Foster fights for a takedown and lands in the guard of Mann. Yet another triangle set-up from Mann and it is locked on. Foster taps! The referee almost misses the tap, but finally gets there and Ronnie Mann is your winner by triangle in the waning moments of the first round. Mann had already angled himself to really get that triangle super-tight, which is why the tap came on so quick.
Final Result: Ronnie Mann def. Kenny Foster by submission (triangle) at 3:52 of the first round.
