Were the photos above taken with that!? I'd of guessed a phone camera dude. Something isn't right. How far are you zooming? With optical zoom the quality gets stupidly bad at high zoom levels, so that may be why?
There is a reason most wide angle lenses for DSLR's and Mirror less cameras are prime (fixed focal length) And high zoom lenses have very narrow points of view.
Basically your camera can't change lenses, so Nikon have tried to make it do everything. At high zoom it will fail miserably for image quality. Should be able to give you some decent shots at it's lowest length or low zoom. Don't zoom in at all, get closer to the subject and try a few shots
