Hmm, when i first started we had pretty much an MMA beginner course that took like 3 months. First thing we did was learn the basics of BJJ and some basic standup stuff, moving, using hips and whatnot.
You should do everything if it's MMA you want but after a while you should feel like you prefer one discipline over the others, i'd say concentrate more on that department.
