Bellator 68

Quote:
Bellator execs are staying busy through the promotion's off-week, and the 10-bout lineup is now complete for May's Bellator 68 event.

In addition to previously reported fights of Marlon Sandro vs. Daniel Straus in a featherweight tourney final contest and a welterweight bout between Waachiim Spiritwolf and Marius Zaromskis, Bellator 68's main card also sees Marcos Galvao (11-5-1 MMA, 2-2 BFC) vs. Travis Marx (19-3 MMA, 1-0 BFC) and Carmelo Marrero (14-5 MMA, 0-0 BFC) vs. Seth Petruzelli (14-6 MMA, 1-0 BFC).

Bellator 68 takes place May 11 at Palladium Ballroom in Caesars Atlantic City in New Jersey. The night's main card, including airs on MTV2 (and in high-definition on EPIX). Spike.com streams the prelims.

Galvao and Marx meet in the semifinal round of Bellator's season-six bantamweight tournament. Galvao advanced to the semis with a decision win over Ed West at Bellator 65. He now meets Marx, who defeated Masakatsu Ueda in the quarterfinal round. The winner advances to the tournament final against the winner of Marcos Galvao vs. Luis Nogueira.

Marrero and Petruzelli meet in a 230-pound catchweight matchup. Marrero, perhaps best known for his four fights under the UFC banner, is 4-1 in his past five outings while competing on the regional circuit. He meets fellow UFC vet Petruzelli, who has put together a two-fight win streak since his release from the promotion.

The evening's preliminary card features lightweghts Jacob Kirwan (9-4 MMA, 1-1 BFC) vs. Don Carlo-Clauss (8-6 MMA, 0-0 BFC), lightweights Marcin Held (12-2 MMA, 1-1 BFC) vs. Derrick Kennington (6-2 MMA, 0-0 BFC), bantamweights Claudio Ledesma (6-2 MMA, 1-0 BFC) vs. Anthony Leone (10-5 MMA, 0-2 BFC), middleweights Francois Ambang (1-3-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC) vs. Gregory Milliard (2-2 MMA, 1-0 BFC), a 175-pound catchweight fight of Jesus Martinez (6-2 MMA, 0-1 BFC) vs. Aung La Nsang (9-7 MMA, 0-0 BFC) and featherweights Eddie Fyvie (9-5 MMA, 0-0 BFC) vs. Jeff Lentz (9-2-1 MMA, 1-0 BFC).

With the additions, the complete Bellator 68 lineup includes:

Marlon Sandro vs. Daniel Straus - featherweight-tourney final
Marcos Galvao vs. Travis Marx - bantamweight-tourney semifinal
Carmelo Marrero vs. Seth Petruzelli
