Hey guys and girls, I'm a 32yo electrician, married with 4 kids from Albany western Australia.
I have only just recently moved to Albany from Northam, I had been boxing for many years in Northam, when I moved down here I was looking for a boxing gym but discovered a MMA gym instead, I'm glad I did, I'm hooked
I had seen the UFC on the TV but it wasn't something that I watched very often at all, I still don't really watch it but now training and competing against the other boys at the gym has opened my eyes to a whole new world of combat and I'm loving it. I got made piss the first few times because as soon as they realised that I had hand skills they would drop me to the floor and have there way with me as I had no idea what to do LOL. I'm a quick learner and starting to at least defend myself and getting basic arm bars and submissions now. The other thing is my level of fittness has never been this good even at 32, I thought I was fit when I was boxing but I've stepped up a level or 3, the cardio nights are full on and I have seen a few people come and go already in the 5 months of being there as they think it's too full on, you have to push the limits if you want to have a chance in the cage I think.
Anyway I'll stop crapping on and have a look around your forum and look forward to getting some advice on technique and so on.
