I remember watching that crash live - It was absolutely horrendous to see :/
But it also serves as a testament to the capabilities of these cars, both performance and safety wise... Dear god that was crazy!
Safety has greatly improved since two drivers died during one weekend back in 1994 (One of the being Ayrton Senna) and no drivers have died on the track since.
