Great post! Events like these generate revenue and spur the economy. No different from Barnum & Bailey, Cirque Du Soleil, WWE, Electric Daisy Carnival and countless other shows that come into town. It's what economists label a trickle down effect. The basis of my disappointment was mainly directed at the after effects rather than the individual himself although he held the key to continue or not.
On the flip side sure they should have built a contingency plan, but banking on them as headliners show that the company absolutely COUNTED ON THEM to pull through. That's what they're paying them six+ figures for and putting in all that marketing to promote their "star(s)."
Anybody who continues to dog on the brand simply aren't deft in the business realm. Dilletantes. Anybody who understands then you are a credit to society.
