This does three things in my opinion... proves there are just too many cards lately, REALLY proves how much more popular the larger weight classes are, and REALLY REALLY proves how well Chael Sonnen can sell a Pay Per View.
The UFC is first a business, and if they don't give Chael a shot at Jones after he beats Forrest, they're fools... it will be larger than UFC 100, I'm sure of it.
Sonnen isn't a draw. It was just the one-time Silva/Sonnen dynamic. Sonnen/Stan with two title fights couldn't even get 300K buys. The ratings weren't there for Sonnen/Bisping. Silva/Sonnen 2 did 900K buys while Silva/Sonnen 1 did like 600K buys. You figure the rematch would get a lot more buys anyway because of how amazing the first fight was. So in reality, Sonnen didn't contribute to those buys all THAT much. And this is coming from someone who likes Sonnen.
