I hate to say it, but I think his title needs to be stripped and the up-comming match not be an interim title. There is going to be an insane amount of time until he comes back, if he (hopefully he does) come back. I don't think anyone will have any issues with him getting an immediate title shot if/when he returns.
The UFC has a hard enough time selling BW fights, it will be even harder if the Champ actually fighting is the Interim Champ.
