UFC on FOX 5: Marcus LeVesseur vs Abel Trujillo

Round 1 - Referee Anthony Hamlett oversees this lightweight fight. LeVesseur with an early low kick and then shoots in for a takedown. He elevates Trujillo and slams him to the floor. Trujillo refuses to stay on the floor and scrambles up, but LeVesseur is tied close to the body. Trujillo lands several elbows to the body as he defends against the cage. LeVesseur relentless on the takedown attempt, but he finally lets it go and settles for a clinch. Not much there, and Hamlett resets the fighters. Trujillo lands a nice left hand as LeVesseur shoots in again. LeVesseur does get Trujillo to his knees, but he can't keep him down. LeVesseur tries to move to the back but can't get around the corner. Two minutes remain, and LeVesseur is still tied to the body, and the crowd starts to boo a bit. More elbows inside from Trujillo. He's driving to the body as LeVesseur drops to a knee. LeVesseur is intent to wrestle, but Trujillo is capable against the cage. Another restart as LeVesseur can't get the takedown. LeVesseur shoots in again but eats a knee on the way in. LeVesseur just holds the leg as time winds down. MMAjunkie.com gives the round to Trujillo, 10-9.

Round 2 - LeVesseur doesn't look 100 percent as Trujillo moves forward, bouncing on his feet. Trujillo catches a low kick and pushes LeVesseur off balance. Trujiilo latches on to a guillotine. LeVesseur spins inside, but Trujillo transitions to a north-south choke. It's tight, but LeVesseur somehow survives and scrambles up. He scores with strikes in the pocket, but Trujiilo answers back in massive fashion and drops his opponent. Incredible action to open the round. Trujillo settles into top position. LeVesseur turns and gets to his knees, and Trujillo settles in behind him. They crawl to the feet and reset at the halfway mark. Trujillo leaps in with a right hand. He tries with a left, and LeVesseur slips it and looks for a takedown. Trujillo scrambles free and starts driving knees into the body. Hamlett watching it. Little more than a minute, and Trujillo grinds away with knees. Warnings offered, and LeVesseur can't respond. That's the fight. Abel Trujillo def. Marcus LeVesseur via TKO (knees) - Round 2, 3:56.
