Round 1 - Referee Anthony Hamlett in charge again. Martinez moves in immediately after a glove touch and into a clinch even as Cruickshank lands a kick. Not much happening in the clinch. and they're started again in the center. They both fire off wild punches on the restart, and Martinez moves again inside while looking for a takedown. Cruickshank defends against the cage and looks to punch the body. Martinez lets go, and they resume the firefight against the cage, Cruickshank retreats and throws a kick. Spinning backfist lands for Cruickshank. With space, he's dangerous. Martinez bloodied from the early action. Cruickshank unleashes brutal kicks to the body,and Martinez is hurt. He covers up against the cage as Cruickshank continues to punish the body. It looks like he might be done, but he suddenly explodes off the cage with punches. Martinez is fading and hurt, but he's certainly got the heart to move forward. Final minute. Cruickshank flurries with punches and a kick to the had that lands flush. Unsure how Martinez is even standing. Martinez flurries to close in an incredible opening round. gives it to Cruickshank, 10-9.

Round 2 - Martinez pushes forward again an works into a clinch. He walks through a kick to get there, but he can't score the takedown. Cruickshank pulls free and resumes his kicking attack. Straight right for Cruickshank. Martinez walking forward, and his blood has soaked his opponent's white trunks. Pace settling a bit after a torrid first. Cruickshank continues to batter the body with powerful kicks. Martinez's best work comes when he gets into punching range, but he struggles to get there. Cruickshank high kick scores flush to the head, and Martinez is finally out. Incredible finish that earns early "knockout of the Night" consideration. Daron Cruickshank def.
