Fully agreed.

IMO it's just AS being AS - he says a lot of things and then changes his mind. Even if he signed such a contract, he can retire when he wants - can't force someone to fight, after all. Worst case is it's him wanting to pad his legacy by fighting more sub-par fighters. (being a bit facetious there)
