Ha you and I have very similar aspirations man
I aim on doing the very same thing but running a Sighthound rescue myself. As always the only thing that hinders this is money.
I'd love to live in the middle of nowhere, have as many dogs as I could possibly have on a huge amount of land, and be able to take in dogs from rescues when they're over crowded or struggling. I have a few friends that work at rescues and even someone who runs one of the major Lurcher rescues in the UK, and the stories break my heart every time I hear them.
I'd love to be able to make an actual big difference.
