Maybe he did.

But he isn't exactly a name like Dan Hardy that casuals know. He probably commanded a decent pay for being a "top 10 fighter".

He couldn't hang with top 10 they cut him. In 4 of 5 UFC fights he has been KO'd 3 times and lost the other 30-27 on all cards. The win was vs. a nobody.

If you come in and are paid more because of your ranking, expect to get cut if you don't live up to that ranking. Or anywhere even close.

He has some skills. He is good enough to be on the roster. Doesn't mean he shouldn't of been cut though. At some point he needs to win in the UFC. They didn't bring Jorge in last time to beat up on cans. They brought him in to tout him as a top 10 guy who would give other top 10s a hard time...and he hasn't.
