Round 2 - Sass on an early high kick, but Castillo blocks and moves in for a quick takedown. He settles immediately into his opponent's guard. Sass trying to control the wrists and turn side to side. He spins for an arm, but Castillo elevates him and slams out of the hold before eventually pushing back into the position. As dangerous as Sass is, Castillo seems content to fight on the floor. Body triangle underneath for Sass. It's a stalemate, and Hall calls fro a quick standup. On the restart, Sass rushes forward with punches. He reaches, and Castillo simply drops underneath for a takedown and settles back into top position. Full guard for Sass. Castillo lands a few short punches but keeps himself compact to avoid any more submission work. One minute left in the round. Castillo backs away before pushing back in. Big hammerfists come in. Round ends, and MMAjunkie.com sees it for Castillo, 10-9.

Round 3 - Castillo looks to box early, and he avoids a jab from Sass. He pushes in, but Sass scores flush with a few punches that catch his attention. Castillo controlling the center. He fakes a few punches and retreats. As Sass rushes in to counter, Castillo slips under for a takedown. Sass lands a few elbows to the top head and gets a warning from Hall on the placement. Sass controls the wrists underneath. Castillo works them free and drives in an elbow. Halfway mark. Time winding down. Castillo grinding on top, and he works the body. Sass gets the left leg on the shoulder, but Castillo alertly shrugs it off and moves out to side control. North-south for Castillo then back to side control. Final minute. Sass tying things up underneath, but Castillo staying safe and controlling positioning. Short shots come in when they can. Bell sounds, and MMAjunkie.com gives the final round to Castillo, 10-9, awarding him the fight 30-27. Danny Castillo def. Paul Sass via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).
