Last July 3rd I severly sprained my anxle hopping a rail at the park playing with my still hasn't fully recovered but I can run a bit now. I worked on stretching techniques to get the range of motion in it and messaged it. I soaked my foot alot with warm water and then stretched it as best as I could. Cardio, if swimming doesn't hurt (kicking motion) try that, as someone else suggested first or go to the gym and use a handbike.
