With one dimensional fighters, there are still more variables than just the style. Royce proved that BJJ can be any size or shape of fighter, but there are several kinds of fighters (even one dimensional ones) that we didn't see in UFC 1,2,3 and 4. He lost to Sakuraba, who was also a one dimensional fighter.

If you want to say that any one style is the best, than the argument has to be made for wing chun and other short hand boxing styles. Short hand boxers bring an entirely new definition of speed and sakuraba v gracie is proof of that.

You can't get a takedown if your opponent has already rung you up with a punch to the nose.
