Hirota doing a good job of keeping is limbs safe but simply can't get free from Yahya's smothering game. Yahya looks like he's going to attack the arm, but he lets go and moves to the back. Round ends there, and MMAjunkie.com gives it Yahya, 10-9.

Round 2 - Crowd chanting Hirota's name as the round starts. He lands a left hand, but Yahya simply wraps the body and starts to work. Hirota defends well and breaks free, but as he starts to strike, Yahya changes level and scores a takedown. Hirota scoots up to the cage. He tries to stand up, but Yahya grabs the legs and pulls him away. Arm triangle from the top, and Yahya moves to mount and then dismounts to squeeze. It looks tight, but Hirota stays in the position. Cage is keeping Yahya from further torquing the choke. Goddard watching close. Yahya inches up and adjusts, but he finally settles for moving back to top position and letting go. Hirota with a full guard. Yahya moves when Goddard asks for action, and he fires in several short punches. Yahya dominating with the positioning right now. Goddard asks for more action. Yahya does step over with his left leg. Round ends there, and it's all Yahya, 10-9 on the MMAjunkie.com card.

Round 3 - crowd again chants Hirota's name. Yahya immediately shoots in Hirota defends it well and returns to his feet rather than engage on the floor. Hirota stalking from the center. Tired Yahya takedown is thrown off. He shoots again, and Hirotasprawls out. He briefly controls the head before electing to walks away. Yahya is telegraphing his shots, and Hirota looks to have the timing down. He sprawls again, but he doesn't back away, and Yahya gets inside. Yahya looking for a leg. Instead, it's Hirota who thinks about a triangle before switching to an arm. He doesn't have the angle, but he's trying. Crowd goes crazy. It's intense for a moment, but Yahya pulls his arm free and scrambles quickly to the back. Hirota turns in and looks to recover, but Yahya controls his body. Hirota on top, and he shakes himself free. He's on top, and Yahya turns over to his knees. Hirota punches him breifly before walking away. Yahya slowly stands, and Hirota rushes forward with a flying knee. It misses, and Yahya looks for a takedown. Crowd loves the late effort from Hirota. Yahya retreats on the feet, and the bell sounds. MMAjunke.com gives the final round to Hirota, 10-9, but gives the fight to Yahya, 29-28. Rani Yahya def. Mizuto Hirota via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
