You get the bad ending is you kill people, but it's not really a "bad" ending, in fact I much prefer that ending than the good one. The only thing that really changes is the final level. That whole level is changed up dramatically based on you killing or not killing people, and if you kill people the level is far more interesting IMO.
My tatic was summon the rats to kill the guards. That power is awesome. Why couldn't Bioshock have that instead of the bees. Anyways, despite what you said about the bad ending being better I decided to go back to the begining and go for a lower mortality rate. What can I say I'm a sucker for the happy happy endings. Doing good so far. It was actually more satisfying branding Overseer Campbell then poisoning him. Only thing that gets me is that the guy I was suppose to save died. I only hit him with a sleep dart but a little later I was told he was killed. WTF! Not sure if this was a bug or what.
