Rage was never intended to be about a guy murdering his classmates, it's more of a psychological thriller as he torments the principal. I find your reviews to be pretty harsh, but that's probably because I'm the biggest Bachman/King fan that I know.
Yeah but it wasn't terribly interesting. Once the main character gets shot..but survives because the bullet hits the lock in his chest. The rest of the novel just feels like a masturbatory fantasy not really a thriller. Ted Jones fall from grace is terribly transparent and very few of the supporting characters are given any sense of texture.
