I'll bet Danny has KO power. I don't know how many of you guys have taken TKD in your life but it sounds like most of you are just repeating what you heard Joe Rogan say, "TKD is pretty much useless in the octagon" which is completely false. Sure, it's not the best and it's not good just by itself, but TKD is extremely effective. Half the shit you see in the standup game comes from TKD. TKD teaches you how to punch and strike in a way that you will only have to do it once. I know how to hit someone and knock them out and I am smaller than Danny. TKD is much like Bruce Lee's techniques in that it teaches you how to kill or severely injure your opponent as fast and easily as possible and even to multiple opponents at once. I agree that TKD alone is not enough to be successful in the octagon, but it IS extremely effective. You know who else trains in TKD and uses it on a regular basis? Rich Franklin, David Loiseau, Stephan Bonnar, Anderson Silva, and now Fedor is currently focusing a lot of attention on his TKD training. Unless you've trained in TKD, you don't have the right to say that it's inneffective. I guarantee a stiff sidekick to your ribs is a bit more effective than most submissions. TKD teaches the kinetics of a strike, leg or hand. There are ways to strike that can KO your opponent instantly with not too much power. Also I don't know about Danny, but when I did TKD, we had some ground training as well, not much but some. I think that was just our instructors preference though. Just educating you guys, not bashing.
