10. Ryan Couture vs Joe Lauzon - Dana's adopted son vs Randy's real one in a loser leaves town match (hint Lauzon ain't losing).
9. Erik Koch vs Matt Grice - Give Grice a chance to move up in the rankings while Koch continues his Grispi-slide.
8. Dustin Poirer vs Charles Oliveira - Oliveira should win his next fight just let these two go full on HAM on a PPV opener.
7. Ben Rothwell vs Shawn Jordan - Rothwell wants Browne LOL no...lets see if Jordan can KO him.
6. Frank Mir vs Brandon Vera II - Main event cut fight, I didn't think Vera looked bad enough while Mir got dropped yet again, one of these guys doesn't belong in the UFC time to see which one.
5. Jon Lineker vs Tim Elliot - just fluidity of violence this will be a good number one contender fight.
4. Chad Mendes vs Cub Swanson II - Pettis/Aldo needs to happen so one of the four contenders (Edgar, Swanson, Lamas, Mendes) needs to get knocked out yesterday. Book Swanson/Mendes to see if Cub really has turned the corner.
3. Jamie Varner vs Donald Cerrone III - Time to end the trilogy and send one of these exciting fighters to the main card and the other to the prelims.
2. Josh Barnett vs Travis Browne - Big men engaging in big violence, the UFC is going to Singapore why not have the Pride legend face the Samoan assassin in the main event.
1. Pettis vs Aldo - No offense to TJ Grant/Ricardo(who)Lamas but this the new superfight 145/155 and it makes sense right now. Hopefully Aldo can speed up his recovery and we can get this fight on the 20 year anniversary show.
What makes this a superfight is that both guys are realistically in title contention in each others respective divisions. Aldo/Pettis I should be at LW, Aldo/Pettis II should be at FW... having a double champion is more important than giving the flavor of the month a title shot.

A fight I would like to see. Jose Aldo.....who I think is the most impressive MMA fighter.
The reason being is that he is not a freakish type guy like Jon Jones who is so tall and has an insane reach advantage over everybody he fights.
He just looks like a guy who is in good shape if u didn't know MMA & saw the guy in a gym. But he is undefeated in 8 WEC fights & 5 UFC fights. 13-0.
And everybody knows how incredibly hard it is to be undefeated in MMA....one punch...one little mistake...& bye-bye undefeated.
I think a good nickname for Jose would be "The Cobra"....because if his opponent makes a mistake...he pounces & is a top notch finisher.
OK - I'd like to see him fight Mendes again because I think Mendes has the best chance to be the guy who finally beats Aldo & it could also be an exciting fight. Not that I'm rooting for Aldo to lose....or Mendes.
I like both fighters. Certainly Guida was no threat to Mendes.
Mendes has insane cardio.....killer wrestling....& his striking has really improved since the last time they fought. I think those guys are #1 & #2 in the division.
Mendes was 4-0 in the WEC & 6-1 in the UFC....so 10-1 with the only loss to Aldo. And he lost to Aldo like most of Aldo's opponents....he made a little mistake & Aldo pounced.
But if memory serves Mendes was looking pretty good up until then....& Mendes lost the fight with 1 second left in the 1st round.
I know a lot of folks are talking up Pettis & Aldo & I'd like to see that too. And if they are arguing over which weight class.....have them do a catch-weight fight at 150.
There are others I would also like to see....but this post is too long already.....
The 145/155 guys are so intertwined that it's less of a superfight and more of a true champion. Also either guy could be fighting for the others title...very different than Silva/GSP which would have been catch-weight.
Josh Barnett - Travis Browne
Frank Mir - Gonzaga or Jordan
Ben Rothwell - Steipe Miocic
Brandon Vera - Pat Barry
Soa Palelei - Todd Duffee
Nikita Krylov - Cut - Vladimir Mishchenko
Magnus Cedenblad - Clint Hester
Jared Hamman - Cut - Luke Zachrich
Hyun Gyu Lim - Paulo Thiago
Pascal Krauss - Cut - Peter Sobotta
Anthony Pettis - Jose Aldo, TJ Grant or Gilbert Melendez after he beats Sanchez
Ben Henderson - Diego Sanchez if he beats Melendez or the winner of Healy vs Numagomedov
Gleison Tibau - Jim Miller
Jamie Varner - Yves Edwards
Al Iaquenta - Mitch Clark
Ryan Couture - Cut - Thiago Michel Pereira Silva
Chad Mendes - Jose Aldo or Ricardo Lamas
Clay Guida - Manny Gamburyan
Dustin Poirer - Rani Yahya
Erik Kock - Chan Sung Jung
Chico Camus - Yaotzin Meza
Kyung Ho Kang - Andrew Leone
Tim Elliott -John Moraga
Louis Gaudinot - Chris Cariaso
Aldo/Pettis makes no sense and a huge fw vs a small lw is not a super fight they are likely within 2 or 3 pounds of each other on fight night and Aldo could even be the bigger guy if it's contended at lw.
