Yeah, the big place that alot of MMA fighters forget about is the legs. They think that legs are only really important for the kicks and the knees, but they're even more important for armbars, kimura and, most importantly, guard.
Do alot of squats and/or leg press and keep your legs in shape and learn how to use them for takedowns, it adds alot of power. My legs are what keep me in alot of my fights, just because they make my guard almost impossible for a guy my size to get through and if I manage to slide my guard around into an armbar or a kimura or a knee bar then my opponents have no other option than to tap.
