Round 1 - Southpaw Cariaso opens with a kick to the body. Santos holds the center as Cariaso circles left on the outside. Kicks traded, and Santos just misses grabbing his opponent's leg. Kicks the weapon of choice for both early. Both taking turns firing to the body, but nothing scoring too clean early. Cariaso pushes in, but Santos stands him up and pushes him back with a trip. Cariaso tries to scramble up, but Santos pushes him back to the floor and looks to control from top position. Cariaso exposes his back, but Santos is too high. As he falls off the back, he tries to grab a leg. No dice, and Cariaso is back to his feet. Still, Santos quickly follows and works into a bdylock on he outside. Cariaso slips a spinning elbow, and they break apart. Punches traded, and Santos looks very strong early. Cariaso with two clean punches, but Santos drives in from the outside and looks for a takedown. It doesn't come easy, but he does drag Cariaso to the floor. Round ends with Santos on top, and gives it to him, 10-9.

Round 2 - Santos raises his arms and asks the crowd for support, which they offer. Cariaso still wants to kick from the outside. He rifles off some punches, too, but it's Santos pushing in from the center. Santos just misses a counter, but he tells Cariaso to bring more. Santos wants a firefight. Cariaso engaging, but he's getting out of the pocket after he throws. Santos turning to an uppercut to score, and he's finding success. Knees inside. Cariaso scores a right to the ear, and Santos wobbles a bit. Cariaso doesn't see it, but Santos is in trouble. He tries to cover up, but Cariaso comes forward with more punches. Santos smiles, but he's not recovered. Cariaso pushes Santos to the floor and punches. Santos eventually scrambles up, but he's in a lot of trouble. Santos' nose bleeding, and he looks out of energy. Cariaso trying to capitalize. Santos showing all kinds of heart, but Cariaso picking him apart with punches and knees. A high kick comes in. Santos covers up against the cage, and Cariaso unleashes a barrage. Referee Keith Peterson takes a close look and eventually steps in to call the fight. Perhaps a tad early, but fantastic comeback win.

Result: Chris Cariaso def. Iliarde Santos via TKO (strikes) - Round 2, 4:31
