I never played fable 3. I don't remember disliking fable 2 but I do remember thinking the ending was incredibly uneventful.

Yeah, compared to fighting Jack of Blades in both human and dragon form the ending to Fable 2 was tame. But at least the story was straight forward. Fable 3 story line seemed to be off the map. It felt like pieces of the story was left out.
I liked Fable: The Lost Chapters best as well. I'll say though that I liked Fable 3 better than Fable 2. Fable 2 felt like a mix up between 1 and 3, and it just didn't work well and the whole game felt sloppy to me, I never beat it. However, Fable 3 is a lot more focused on the core idea that Fable 2 tried to do, so for what it is I liked it better (weather you like what it is or not is another thing).
Overall, though, the series went downhill after 1.
Decisions are a lot harder to make in Fable 3. Its no longer good or evil but just a moral grey area. If you don't make bad decisions you don't make money. If you don't make money people will die. I liked that aspect of the game. Everything else seemed like a downgrade. Character interactions, shopping, customization, frame rates drop when your doing a job, the story's narrative doesn't transition well at times, and the game is just too damn easy. I beat this game in two days. I remember Fable 1 and 2 having a bit of a challenge. In Fable 3 its completely dumbed down. That is why this game is my least favorite. All the mistakes made in Fable 2 could have been corrected but instead they made some of it worse.
I have to admit I'm not looking forward to Fable Legends. These games get progressively worse with each sequel.
You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam
