Round 1 – We’re almost immediately in a timeout when Cote takes an accidental kick to the groin. We’re soon back underway, though. Cote lands a nice overhand right, but Noke counters. Cote continues throwing power punches, but Noke wraps him up. After a brief clinch, they reset. Noke working some front kicks that are keeping Cote at distance. Cote gets a takedown and looks to pass guard, but Noke keeps him in half guard while trying to torque the neck. Cote breaks free and works from full guard. Cote lands a nice elbow from the top. Noke looking for submissions off his back, but Cote makes it tough and continues with the ground and pound. Noke is stuck on his back, but he’s deflecting most of Cote’s bigger shots. Cote gets through a right before Noke ties him up again. Cote gets through some elbows before the round ends. It’s 10-9 Cote.

Round 2 – Neither fighter is anxious to engage, and after a slip from Noke, we reset again. Cote charges in and eats a knee, and he’s stunned. Noke delivers some follow-up punches. He tried to recover, but Noke pops him again. Eventually, though, Cote shakes it off, but he’s bloodied and has lost some pep in his step. Noke works some front kicks, catches one, and looks for the takedown. He gets it, and Noke’s surge seems to have sputtered. Cote works ground and pound. Noke looks for submissions from his back, but he’s got nothing from this position. Cote lands an elbow. Noke gets to the cage and tries to get upright, but Cote pops him with a knee to the body. Noke is up, though. Noke with more front kicks. It’s a close one, and each fighter had his moment, but MMAjunkie scores it 10-9 for Noke.

Round 3 – Noke looks for kicks earlier while Cote presses forward with punches. Noke continues with kicks, but they’re doing little more than creating some distance. Noke eats a right, and the pace slows. Cote pushes forward and clinches against the cage, but Noke eventually breaks free. Cote tried to catch a kick but Noke resets. Noke lands a solid left but doesn’t follow it up and eventually returns to low kicks. He lands a front kick to the body and then another. Cote catches the next kick and drags Noke to the mat. He works from full guard. Cote moves to side control but Noke pulls him back in. Cote tries to remain active from the top but little lands until a series of elbows that draw blood. Noke gets to the cage and attempts to get back up. Cote wraps his hips and tries to keep him down. Noke lands a body shot, but Cote’s takedown and ground control win him the round, 10-9, and the fight, 29-28.

Result: Patrick Cote def. Kyle Noke via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
