bbjd7 I tend to get along with you and usually agree with what you post but here I think your hate for Filho based off stories of friends that have trained with the man have totally clouded your judgement. You post in almost every Filho thread about what a great fighter he is but a total dickhead otherwise. I am not arguing if he is a dick or not, however, I want you to see some points that I am thinking about.

In his WEC debut match with Doerkson he said he had worked very hard on his stand up going so far to get a boxing coach. He knows to please the US crowds he needs more stand-up and cannot do the ground game that was respected in Japan. Furthermore, I think his style of fighting on the ground was more a product of BTT (see Arona) and not his choice. From what you said about Ninja he sounds like a smart fighter which leads to my second point. He is training with Team Link (Alvin and Gabe Gonzaga) I think if anyone can teach him respect and how to not be a dick it is those two men-I have read where Gabe teaches his BJJ students its about respect and being like a family. Now along with Gabe and Thiago Silva Filho should learn how to be a better striker, possibly a real threat in the MW division along with his superior ground game.

I thought of this in another filho thread so I will ask you here, do you feel the same about Karo? Does his being a prick out of the octagon shade your opinion the same way?
