For a long time most MMA fans felt that PRIDE fighters were better than guys from the UFC. Fedor built his reputation in that organization against what were supposed to have been the 'best fighters in the world'. Well, as it turns out, Pride fighters really aren't superior to the UFC fighters as we've seen from some of the PRIDE talent coming into the UFC. I'm not saying I don't think PRIDE fighters are good here, but I am saying that UFC fighters were vastly underated by a lot of the PRIDE / MMA fans.
So,what does this mean? Well, when people see guys like The CroCop come to the UFC and get there asses handed to them twice and guys like Heath Herring get beat by Jake O'Brien it raises serious questions as to the level of competition in PRIDE. Without turning this into Pride vs. UFC post I think people just feel that if guys like The CroCop get dominated by UFC fighters like GG or Kongo, then why is it not possible that top HW's in the UFC like Tim or Randy could compete with the likes of a Fedor?
