I'd be ok with Nog being #2 and Randy #3. MY only issue with Nog is Barnett. I think Barnett is ranked too high. We are all over Fedor for not fighting, and he's Fedor....but then we have Barnett who hasn't fought for over a year either, and has lost 2 of his last 3 with the sole win being a can.
If Fedor has to slip, so too does Barnett. Take him out of the equation and the only good guy Nog has fought in the last 3 years is Werdum, and that was 18 months ago.
Again, it's not that Randy is the better fighter (althouggh he might be we don't know) it's just that he has proven he is top teir twice in 2007 while Fedor and Nog haven't. When either Fedor or Nog fight and win again against a top 10 guy then they immediately leap to #1 imo.
Randy is #1 through circumstance in my eyes, and is just keeping the spot warm for Nog or Fedor until they fight a top 10 HW. Nevertheless though....as of today, right now, i think he has to be #1.
