How important is it for a UFC champion to speak fleunt english? Before his fight with Dan Christianson, Frank Mir said that it is very important because the UFC champion is an ambassador of the company (he said this referring to Andrei Arloveski). You have to go out there and give interviews and try to sell the product. Listen to what Frank Mir has to say!
The question here is if Frank Mir is right! Is it important for the UFC champion to speak fleunt english? If so, where does that leave Anderson Silva? Your thoughts!
True, if everyone spoke english....man that would suck i sometimes like hearing say...silva speak japanese .. I don't mind hearing Anderson silva speak brazil i think its cool

I've always thought they should utilize Mir more in the commentators booth. The guy was just really good at UFC 50. Really bad event, but it was the commentary from Mir that made a bad show tolerable.

It is great to see great fights. It is a bonus to understand what people are saying after them. If it matters so much to you then go learn Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, and French. Otherwise shut the hell up about it. America doesn't have an official language and never will.
PS. Though I have never been, I doubt Canada is the greatest place in the world to live. Any place that gets that freakin cold is hardly great. Politics may be great, but I am not living in a place for its politics. Unless it is impeding my way of life. That generally doesn't happen in the USA. Besides no one is trying to blow up Canada because they are jealous of your greatness. Not Canada bashing at all, by the way.
An Ass Kicking Is An Ass Kicking.... In Any Language
