Yeah, since I've stopped going to an MMA gym, I just lift weights and work on my cardio as much as possible. I also shadow box alot, usually working on my footwork. I also want to fight, but I'm gonna wait until I can get back into proper MMA training with an instructor. I don't think I would do very well without it.
You have a girlfriend to practice submissions on, but I'm assuming she isn't much of a challenge to roll with, sparring that is. I would imagine sparring with her won't be nearly the same as fighting some badass that has nothing but knocking your block off on his mind.
