Sorry if I sounded harsh but I lived with someone my entire life who suffers from depression and has made numerous suicidal attempts, literally walking in on her bleeding in the bathroom at times or covered in a mess of prescribed meds and vodka in her bedroom. Calling ambulances and setting up clinic treatment with her doctors became as common as getting a haircut and till this day I still dread weekend nights and my heart and stomache drops everytime I get a call after 12am no matter who it is. Seeing how this is our first times hearing about filho like this I thought this was an isolated case and can't help but avoid handing out sympathy when I have no idea if this has been a reoccuring emotional battle for him when like in most interviews he can be using a word like "depression" and we can be taking it "literally". I understand there are variances in people clinically diagnosed but we don't even know that yet and I'm sure if this is as serious as it can be we'll be hearing more about from various sources and maybe some of our stances will change as will mine.
