First off, since when is clinch work boring and useless? Second, everytime someone back peddaled into the lip, they tripped and had to settle in guard for a bore-fest. It kinda always has unless you have a great Muay Thai fighter or Randy Couture. I mean usually in a lot of fights if they clinch against the cage nothing happens besides maybe one or two body shots and then the ref breaks them up.

After watching Oleg vs Kerr and Butterbean vs Smith. I think the incline was to steep however I don't hate the idea of having a slight incline in order to give a guy who has defended a takedown and is pinned up against the cage some opitions. I think the Yamma incline right now is to steep and leads to a lot of early takedowns.

But I think the cage shouldn't be involved in the fight so I gald they at least tried something even though it failed.

The cage is their to keep the fight in a set place but I feel like it has become a lot of guys TDD and that bugs the hell out of me. The cage in a perfect world wouldn't be part of the fight. Because fights should be decided on the mat either standing or on the ground.
