well i have never fought in a cage lol i have boxed a few times amateur and i got over my nervousness by laughing listening to my old comedy albums, hell i warmed up for a fight once while Richard pryor was on a lil 10 inch t.v in the room i was in haha, I'm highly emotional before i fight from anger to sadness man, i find that if you fight angry you **** up, if you fight while your anxious or nervous you end up being to cautious and don't take advantage of certain situations when you can, keep in mind I'm a boxer not a MMA fighter but i doubt theres much difference in mental preparation lol. Just stay calm and focused deep breathing exercises are very useful, and most of all don't be afraid of losing if it happens it happens just go out there and do what you trained to do and walk away from it with a lesson. best of luck to you, welcome to the forums and i hope what i said helped even a lil bit.
