I think the problem is that the LHW division is so damn packed with good fighters any show of weakness means the attention is stolen from you right away.
There are just too many remaining questions in that division and everybody is trying to cancel out anybody that makes a mistake to try and clarify the heads and tails of the situation.
Personally I think a lot of questions would be answered with a Grand Prix event.
Having said that though either way Chuck Liddell makes money and sells fights, it doesn't matter how good or bad he is as long as he's making money he's gonna be in the UFC.
